Josh and Kali’s Wedding in Winnsboro, SC

Josh and Kali have been friends of ours for years. One of the first sessions I ever did with my new photography equipment was with Josh and Kali before they were even engaged (like, in highschool). In fact, they are some of the oldest photos you can view on my Facebook Page. We really started to get closer after Josh and Kali got engaged, and we are definitely looking forward to spending more years of friendship with them as married couples.

You can check out Josh and Kali’s REAL engagement session here (don’t forget to leave some comments and tell them how cute they are).

Anyway… on to the wedding.

Josh and Kali were originally going to get married in June, but decided to change their date to January. Another last minute change made the way I photographed this wedding different as well… Ashley was part of the bridal party! So, instead of shooting without any help, I took along my little brother Caleb to carry stuff around for me (::evil laugh::).

The Day was BEAUTIFUL! It was cold (as it should be in January), but the sun was shining, and the sky was unbelievably blue. The wedding took place at Bethel ARP Church in downtown Winnsboro. The reception was at the Tavern, and unfortunately, was the last event ever to be held there, because it burned down later that night. The evening was great, and everyone enjoyed themselves at the reception.

These are some of my favorites, but you can also check out more images on my Facebook page (“like” my page if you haven’t already)! Don’t forget the comments (here and on Facebook!)!!

Kali had her hair and makeup done by Rhonda at Studio321.  I was very impressed with Rhonda’s work!  She was very encouraging, and entertaining… and I know she made Kali feel comfortable, calm and beautiful!  Rhonda’s website isn’t up right now, but you can give her a call at (803) 714-9733.

Kali’s Dress was from The Glass Carriage.  It was a beautiful dress!

Josh and his 2 brothers, this is one of my favorites!

This wasn’t a planned photo… I was just taking a quick test shot… but I really liked the way it looked.

Family Photos don’t always have to be stiff and boring.  I love to get families to look at each other, laugh, and have a good time.

This is the look of a nervous bride.  I love how the girls are talking to her, and she is totally in her own world… taking deep breaths… ready to take the next step into the rest of her life!

Josh walked up the isle to get Kali and walk her back down the isle.  This was the second in which he first saw her standing there in the back of the church.

The reception had some great dancing!  The DJ was Mike Lockaby with Party Time.

I took a panoramic photo of the ceremony, but its kinda tiny on the blog.  Check it out here to see it larger.

There will be something else special coming up from Josh and Kali soon, so keep checking back to see what it is!

Josh and Kali’s After Wedding Session » Corey Potter Photographer - [...] Josh and Kali got married on a beautiful day, but when there ceremony was over, it was dark outside.  We got great photos of the two of them sharing special moments on their wedding day, but didn’t have time or light to do many portraits.  We decided to have another session after the wedding where we would create some beautiful wedding portraits.  Josh and Kali are very much in love, and they make great subjects!  I hope you’ll enjoy these photos, and don’t forget to check out Josh and Kali’s wedding Photos!
